1993... That was when I first got to see Pastor Eskor. At first, I admired him from a distance, just like most of my colleges (fellow students) did. Over the years I became privileged to work closely with him, and to come to share his vision (rather he imparted his vision). Some of us fondly referred to him as Eskobar, probably because of his assertive way and his passion, but he was truly a father figure and a mentor through the dark and blissful moments of my life. I thank God for using Pastor Eskor to steer my development (spiritual & character) from youth to adolescences. Other thoughts that are burned into my memory include ministering at my wedding (to my lovely wife) and pastor seeing our first born daughter. Pastor had a stern demeanour, but he was a big teddy on the inside. God will bless and keep Pastors family (Aunty Bimpe and the kids). That I have no doubt (It is scriptural). We pray that we are also counted on the Lords side when the time comes. This is what matters the most.
